Is hell for eternity?
Yes — hell is forever, but not all people agree
Some people argue that when an unbeliever dies, they are simply annihilated (go out of existence). But that’s not what the Bible says.
The descriptive language in the Bible says hell is clearly forever.

Their worm does not die — (Mark 9:48)

Burn with unquenchable fire — (Matt. 3:12)

Everlasting destruction — (2 Thess. 1:9)

Tormented day and night forever — (Rev. 20:10)

Everlasting shame and contempt — (Dan. 12:2)
All these verses tell us that hell is for eternity. Those who believe in Jesus Christ as their savior will escape this eternal fate in hell.
